Rigoberta Menchú Tum Spanish School

10 Attributes of the school:

1. Name of the school: It is a great honor for our school to have the name of Rigoberta Menchú Tum, a Guatemalan woman with a great social background whose work is accredited to the Nobel Peace Prize.

2. Administration: The school is under the direction of Professor Raúl Humberto Chávez, a person with a background in teaching, leading unions, with ample knowledge of the Guatemalan reality, and with much working experience in the Spanish schools.

3. Teachers: The teachers make up the fundamental base of the process of learning the Spanish and Mayan languages, and have been carefully chosen. All of them possess knowledge about Spanish grammar and national culture, as well as experience in teaching.

4. Teaching Method: The teaching method that the teachers use is the result of four years of experience in working with foreign students. It is a complete manual on the delivery of the classes.

5. The Families: The families are carefully selected so that the student feels like one of them and so that he or she can easily practice the Spanish or Mayan languages.

6. The Social Projects: The two centers of attention, focusing on adolescents and small children, are with establishments that do not receive any governmental assistance, making the participation of the school of great importance.
